A child wants to laugh and cry, who wants to learn something different but interesting does not sound like a naughty child to me.

Our local club had an older fellow (about 70) who always said that the brain turns to mush after 60 - but then he won the State Championship. Unless there are other health factors at play (and there often are with older players), I haven't seen any evidence that one's overall playing strength declines to amount to anything.
