A big generalisation there. Women don't give birth to children all their lives, some don't at all. I doubt a woman younger than 20 in chess have the burden of children. And little girls under 15 are playing chess as well, do you think children will care about looks? Magnus Carlsen is a model himself, even though a man.

Answer. Because there are more males into chess than females.
NB. If more females are there into chess, there will be more female chess masters. If more female chess masters are there, then there will be tough fight. If tough fight is there, then there is every chance that there will be better female chess players than Magnus Carlson. All what we need is that we should encourage more females into chess.

Yeah, a woman I played the other day blocked me in chat as well even though I was only trying to compliment a move of hers that I had missed which cancelled both my main plan and my backup hahaha but I guess that then makes sense.

We could only suggest them to play chess, it's their choice if they want to play the game or not.
That is what I said! We shouldn't ask a woman who is at work to play chess. And also, we shouldn't ask a woman whom we met on a bus, a train etc. to play chess.

I was always a huge fan of Judits. Did y'all know she was 2500 level at 12 before computers? Not sure about fide rating inflation or not but she was legit GM strength in the 80s.
