After suffering setbacks at live chess, i took a breather by studying Lakdawalas book on Capablanca, but during the week of my study i was given a book by a friend titled How to be a chess master by andrew soltis. I got one of the best surprises in chess and that is little things i didnt know that i should know like what was found on chapter one which was What matters most. Now my study on capas games with the excellent notes by lakdawala plus that of soltis lead me to re-read the book of lakdawala again but this time with excitement and fun. The more i read soltis book, the more i understood capas style as relayed by lakdawala, seeing capas weaknesses and at the same time learning how the great cuban executes his plans. Its fun to see how Capa spots and create weaknesses on his opponents side. Im not sure if this works for everyone but maybe someone could try it too. Just sharing :)
