Should GMs who fall below 2500 lose their GM title?

In my opinion, no, since the title is not an indication of current strength but of past achievements.

This explains everything in one sentence.

This topic is absurd.  Someone who has reached the top of their profession should be respected even if they have some decline as they get older, or life happens and they have to concentrate on other things.   This type of thinking is much of what is wrong with the world.  Lets try and tear down people who have put in the work because you aren't good as they are just so you can get some warm fuzzies at the expense of someone who put in all the work.  Anyone who subscribes to this mentality is dragging the world backwards both in and outside of the chess world.

Or at least be on GM probation?

I don't know.

Should your mother lose her title for world's f______ w____ even though she lost a little weight?

Oh, the 5 letter word could be w-o-m-a-n. Plausible deniability, how convenient.

You missed the point of it. Think of it like a MVP. You could be MVP one year, nothing next. It could mark your status as a current player. It's not a label you can't change.

Saying a 2450 player isn't a GM doesn't make me anymore closer to a title of my own, and I would be subject to the same scrutiny.

I agree. I've heard another similar concern over things like hard work or wealth. They say that a long time ago little kids would see a successful businessman drive around in a fancy car and say "wow, I want to be that person someday". Now they just tear him down, criticize him, and want to take away what he has earned.

I think the title of grandmaster is very impressive. There are about 1600 in the world. I would never try that hard to become one even if I had the talent, it's just too much effort and time away from other things. But it's an amazing accomplishment. I compare it to a sports Hall of Fame or Grand Slam. It doesn't mean the person who did it will ever do what it takes to do it again so it's an achievement that should be recognized for a lifetime. If for no other reason, out of respect.
