40 years ago, Levy would be the absolute star of a Chess Circus. And while he can certainly do more than selling third grade American humour (e.g. his How to Win at Chess book is quite decent, and certainly enough vastly more educative than all of his streaming content) I'm afraid he can retain his legendary status only by keeping on streaming utter junk on Youtube.

He maybe the face on youtube chess but you cannot expect a gift G.M award based on being a top chess streamer, that's not promoting chess in a way that FIDE can award anyone, awarding someone with a title for there abillity to earn big bucks from streaming is not likely to ever count towards a G.M title it has to be achieved through over the board FIDE events and maintaining a rating of 2500, something Levi has not been able to maintain in events past entered.

Yeah like he uses openings like viena gambit and other so called romantic chess openings, and sadly your not going to achieve any norms playing those openings, you can just about get away with them at Blitz personally I think if he gave streaming a miss for a year he could get his norm after all Levi estimated net worth is 2.2 Million Dollars some of us have to manage on a pension of $1600. a month!

Levy came back to competitive chess going for the GM title. He is my favorite chess youtuber so he should get it.

GothamChess has a very good life thanks to chess. But in regards to becoming a grandmaster, he has most likely missed the window of opportunity.

Rozman is a dud. I've known way better players than him who never became GMs. He's a performing flea on YouTube. That's fine, but it isn't really a chess accomplishment among the best players, which is what gets you norms.
