Should I be rated 3800 by the end of this year?

Hi everyone, I got from 0 to 1900 in 2 months. At this rate, do you think I should be 3800 in two more months, assuming that I keep up the progress?

Thanks,

A Beginner.

That won’t work

The higher you go, the harder it is to improve and you have to resort to learning good habits and removing bad habits and it will take a while for you to improve. It’s impressive you reached 1900 bullet.

Assuming exponential growth, in two months you may very well be 5000!

Establish real target, 5000.

What's with all these kinds of threads lately? Are players not interested in actual chess conversations ...?

Yes because experts agree progress is linear.

If you cheat and chess.com doesn't find out, yes otherwise definitely not

What if I told you I am a descendant of Claude Bloodgood, a genius who got his rating to 2789 USCF in 3 years?

Growing number of trolls in the forums, since the average age of people here has gotten lower.

I've had a few friends that decided to do some trolling as well... In most cases it's a maturity thing, and people grow out of it, but these types of threads will persist as more immature people join and the cycle repeats itself.

I'm not for super strict forum moderation, but perhaps chess.com taking troll threads a bit more seriously would do the discussions here good.

Okay, let me put it simply... You in 4 months expect to far surpass Magnus himself?

Claude Bloodgood already did it. He reached 2789 USCF in 3 years without any formal training.
