Should I read Bobby Fischer teaches chess??

I have 800 Elo and I consider myself to have a grasp on tactic concepts such as skewers, pins, forks, etc. usually seeing this basic tactics with a two moves depth (which are, of course, sometimes wrong). Is this book useful for me? Maybe it's for people too new to chess or maybe too advanced.

Who can determine the answer for you?

Only you.

That's why people traditionally went to book stores and picked up books to look through them to see if they have material that is interesting.

Perhaps you can find an excerpt online.

It is a good book. Yes, buy it and work through it.

No. Fischer had nothing to do with this book. He just allowed them to use his name for a quick payoff.

That wasn't the question. The question was whether or not he should read it.

Since it is on many top 10 lists for beginner chess books, I think it is safe to read it.

Bobby Teach Chess is not a good book. His name ofc attracts players. I recommend Chess Fundamentals by Capablanca

No it's just a tactic book

Then, the majority of that book will not be useful for you (applies to anyone else in OP's situation too). There are also some tactics (such as removing defender) which may you not be familiar. But, that's only a small portion at the end of the book. And there are much better books to learn those tactics, such as Chess tactics for kids, Winning chess tactics (Seirawan and Silman), Learn chess tactics (Nunn), Back to basics: tactics, Killer chess tactics, Winning chess strategies for kids, Chess kid's book of tactics (I am omitting intermediate/advanced books). The last two are good if you would like to read more detailed explanations.

If you want to move beyond basic tactics, you might benefit more from books like Winning Chess Tactics by Yasser Seirawan.

O-O

I read the woodpecker method it's really good, I probably recommend you be a bit higher rated though before you read it.
