Should I support Scots Independence because Sir Sean Connery backs it?

This man is hugely influential and has been an inspiration in my life and loves since the 1960's. I think there may be some racism and elitism at play since Sir Sean was only knighted as a Knight Bachelor while Sir Roger Moore was not only knighted prior to Sir Sean, but was also inducted as Knight Commander Order of the British Empire, or KBE, which is a much higher order of knighthood than Sir Sean's.
I think there is too much overt racism directed towards Sir Sean Connery. Should Scotland secede and break all ties with England?
