Yeah, machines do do a lot of it.  But they still have to be sorted and put in trays and checked to make sure they have stamps and inserts inside (no empty envelopes) and then packed away onto palettes...all so that Scotchy (or whatever he's calling himself now) can take care of them on his end.

Makes sense. I was thinking about those work at home envelope stuffing offers you see sometimes. They are indeed all scams.

Why? I don't know that much about it.

No opinions?

Believe it or not, CP, a while back I would've considered your job like a dream come true.  I used to be quite the little thrift-store hound in my day...

You can go thrift store shopping just as much as we can. It's not like we get a discount or anything.

Goodwill is a non-profit. You didn't you think you'd get rich doing unskilled work for a non-profit did you?

Well, then why are you slighting them by complaining that they don't pay well out of greed?

Kingpatzer

Been broke lots in my life, it does suck. Never saw it as an excuse to slight other people.

Conflagration_Planet

I wasn't talking about just pay. It's the way they treat their employees. I'm to sick to argue anymore so drop it. I'm going to bed.

Kingpatzer

I've complained about both lots. I still do and I'm not anything close to broke.

Kingpatzer

Nah, at best I"m a Horatio wannabe.

How can you stand all the ads driving you nuts?
