Should you ever play chess without a timer?

Someone wants to play for $, but don't like clock or don't know how to use it.

Some just casual games same story

What happens is, someone starts to think longer and other person starts blaming another for taking too long and that's how it escalates most of the time or maybe he has to go in the middle of it.

Have you experienced similar behavior? And do you think you should just decline someone's offer to play without timer no matter what?

I am a very casual player but chess without a clock with a stranger sounds crazy. You get enough frustration with players who won't resign and waste your time by abandoning the board. Detestable people.

I think that if you were to play someone for $ and didn't use a clock it could lead to problems that you and Ageiswisdom have described. But for casual games I think that without using a clock is fine as long as both players are usually a reasonable (in regards to the positions that arise during the game) or a similar amount of as each other.
