It's interesting that many players who play 1.e4 with White try to avoid theoretical lines after 1...c5 in any possible way and go for various anti-Sicilian options such as the Alapin, the delayed Alapin, and similar systems. Your opinions? Thanks for answers!

I find that this is generally not the case. Most players I go up against quickly choose violence with a very swift d4.

Almost everything is well playable, including stuff like 2.d4 cxd4 3.Qxd4.

And aggressiveness is a label for the player, not the opening. Even the most harmless-looking openings may well fetch wild positions.
