Your probably right, there was a time when I thought I was a good player, but not anymore, time to give the game up. Once you have reached your level, there is no improvement that can be achieved, and it's time to quit. Today I will play my last game.

It's time to quit when you no longer enjoy playing. No one should waste time on something that doesn't provide some enjoyment.

I have come to the conclusion that chess is not that interesting and a lot of vile people play it, so I will do something else with my time that is more interesting than playing boring chess. If I can thank anyone for coming to that conclusion, it's chess.com.

You complained, hated, bored about chess.com about 3 times on your forums. And yet you still playing. Your 1500 rated daily because you play more games in blitz, rapid or bullet whatever more than daily. I bet your daily rating will go nowhere near 1000 if you play enough games.

You said you hated chess.com 3 times in your forums, you want to quit, yet you still playing.

If you felt you don't wanna play anymore then just quit, or with your lichess argument, just play lichess and be happy.

If you wish to play chess.com, then just accept the fact you just terrible and beginner and that chess.com have no bots and need some improvement.

I hate this site, especially the people who play on it, they are just vile, vile people. I have always liked chess, played it from 8 years old, thats, 50 years ago, but I now hate the game, so,e of the people who play it are disgusting vile people. I am closing my account on Sunday, had enough.

Another thing, I play on lichess, I never lose more than 5 games in a row, on here this keeps happening, losing sometimes 15 games in a row. A clear sign it's about to happen, I get two players in a row, send me blank chats at the beginning of the game. That is the start of my so called tilt. This has happened 4 times now. In my opinion we are playing bots. That explains the tilt, because on lichess, this does not happen. Chess.com want you to keep playing and chess.com is a business, it's all about $$$. That's why they have the leagues, pointless leagues that achieve nothing other than you playing all day long. Actually the more I think about chess the more pointless it is, has a hobby it's totally pointless.

Anyway a tip for you, there is a site that gives you a game review similar to chess.com, you just have to put your PGN in and you get the game review, pretty cool.

I understand!

I've been a member here for over 7 years; and I've been there many, many times -- coming across very verbally abusive and offense players, and also losing 15 games in a row, going up and down in my ratings (which very many here also experience). However, I've come to conclude that they are not bots that are being generated by Chess.com, but there are players here that do use them -- and many of them have not been caught yet or reported to Chess.com.

Lately, I've been on the social side (meaning, interacting in forums); however, if you want to continue playing on this site, we must try not to be discouraged and, also, we must report any players with whom we suspect of using a bot or an engine.

Good luck on your future games.

I am closing my account here at midnight, it's teh last game of chess I will play, I am done with it, but good luck yourself.

The moderating team here would learn a lot from seeing how it's done at Trek BBS. Those guys are firm but fair and consistent with how they deal issues. They are easy to contact and there is an appeals process to have threads re-opened and reverse bans. If I hadn't renewed annual membership last November I would have taken a long break from this site but that would mean all my daily games timeout.

I'm seeing more and more often how the people who own this site put money before members. Features are added and removed without notice which effects all members including those with an annual subscription. Clearly this place has a 'like it or lump it' philosophy towards their paying customers and for a site that is so popular with younger players that is of most concern. I would be very interested to see an overview of the company structure and how many moderators there are and how many administrators they report to because it seems like they have the bare minimum to keep costs down.

They make a $100 million a year, so I heard. Moderators probably get free membership and that is it. People who get rich, many are greedy and gon't give a damn about anything else but $$$$. This is what this site is all about $$$. I heard the guy who owns it said he doesn't care about chess. It's clearly about the money then.

Disable all chat options so opponents have no way of talking to you during a game and don't visit the forums anymore. Instead of seeks only play your friends which is something I am going to start doing. Ideally friends who are rated 2000+ that I can play 20 blitz or rapid games in a row and know they will play honestly.

😄 I totally understand -- I'm up there in my years as well !!!

When I started interacting in the forums here (around a year or two ago) I was not familiar (or used to) the chat and slang terms of today's generation. And I was either uncomfortable or offended by some of the chat and slang terms used by many adolescents here as I am a very proper individual having come from a long-time work environment where proper ways of addressing and interacting with others were very important.

And there was a time (recently) when someone called me a "dude" -- and because I am an older female, I spoke up about how there are still some women who find that offensive -- BUT, INSTEAD OF BEING UNDERSTOOD, I GOT MANY (IN THAT PARTICULAR FORUM) WHO BECAME OFFENSIVE AND STARTED VERBALLY ATTACKING ME! (And some of them do not care about reason, fairness, and/or how you feel.)

Again, there are many players here (considering the millions of players that play on this site) who use an engine or a bot to win a game. And many of them are not getting reported.

I wish you the best in your endeavors.

There is no round 2. Chess.com got roasted for being so trash and that's it.

70, only daily games lol, cause maintaining 1200 doesn't always work out so I sac a few games. I only do it for fun cause daily rating doesn't matter lol

I doubt all the members who exclusively play daily games will agree that it doesn't matter and with a comment like that I wouldn't play you in any time control. The overuse of 'lol' here is also tiresome because 'lol' is decades old and is only used today as a sign of superiority and contempt as demonstrated with the popcorn remark.

I really don't think you know how lol is used. Most people on here don't count daily as a real rating because of all the cheaters, random timeouts and usage of opening books.

'most people' - can you back this up with stats or other tangible data? I only started getting regular points refunds notifications when I started playing rapid time controls last November and the previous three or four years of only playing correspondence chess resulted in one maybe two notifications of dishonest play by an opponents and no issues with excessive timeouts so in my experience dishonest play is much rarer in correspondence games.

I saw your last game, where you got checkmated, you fell apart at the end. What I can't understand is you had 17min left and you made some poor choices, you could have won that game. I am not impressed, I have to say. If it was blitz I could understand it, but all that time to think. Why play rapid at the pace of bullet? That is weird.

Given that performance maybe you couldn't beat me.
