Poetic, humourous, religious, disturbing. But we're only on page three
Siduri's kiss
None of these goddesses exist, but it's certainly humorous to read guys' fantasies about them.
George Berkeley, the idealist 17th century Irish philosopher, held that everything exists only insofar as it is perceived by the senses. While I have experienced the pleasure of Siduri's Kiss and ipso facto can vouch for her existence, you and your fellow posters, unfortunetly, have contributed little more than a few words on a computer screen to my perception and thus I can not, in good conscience, vouch for your existence...

Yes, I am what, a robot for Google automated to make insidious posts about chess openings and mock random people on the Internet. Really? Get your act together.

It would be remise of me as a scientist to postulate with any degree of certainty without significantly more perception-based data. Nevertheless, your advice does not fall on deaf ears and I will endeavor to do better.
Wow, you're a philosopher, a scientist, and a doctor?! That's crazy!
Indeed...

Don't forget what the OP said about running 6 miles.... this was also a factor contributing to his experience i think
"Recently, the results of a study conducted at the University of Arizona, which was published in April 2012, argues implicitly that endocannabinoids are, most likely, the causative agent in a runner's high"

Yes, I strongly suspect the running, fatigue and dehydration all played important roles... Hopefully it will be hot enough on the Santa Monica coast for me to try to accurately replicate the experience this upcoming Saturday...
I get it now. You ran to Venice Beach.
Hey Sharon.
Yes, my research venue was indeed located along Venice Beach... I hesitate to publically say the name of the establishment in question only because I will be venturing there again this Saturday attempting a rendezvous with Siduri and while I doubt few people who read this thread live in Southern California, and even fewer of those that do would care to visit the aforementioned establishment; I fear that simply possessing the knowledge that I had publically identified where I will be and when I will be there may prove sufficient distraction to scare Siduri away...
I suspect you get "medical approval" at Venice Beach to buy Siduri.
Hi! Back at you, Sharon! ;)
Yes, this is an understandable conjecture, and one that I am not opposed to investigating in future intoxicant/chess related studies (perhaps not on this forum)... However, I assure you, Siduri is a goddess of wisdom, merry-making and fermentation (emphasis added). I would suggest that the Goddess you seek, who is closely affiliated with your implied intoxicant, is Kali-Ma... think Indiana Jones...
If you run 6 miles for it and drink a 3 beer chaser, I suppose so.
You, ah, in good shape?
My wife doesn't complain...
That's right. He is a doctor. So....you run from Venice Beach to Santa Monica, then.
Curious, when you meet Siduri, what does she have to say about Elenin?
While Siduri's inspiration appears more restricted to chess, I have no doubt that Elenin and her compatriots should always be greated by a day of fasting and humilition a la 1680...
Yes. Humourous.
Not the slightest bit disturbing..., just humourous.
