Significant difficulty spike in 1400

I have noticed that when playing against computer there is very significant difference in difficulty between 1200 and 1400. 1200 makes ridiculous blunders like in exchance of queens the computer doesn't capture my queen after I have captured its. When playing against 1400, these blunders are non existant. This was just something that I noted, I don't have problems against 1400 computer, but the difficulty jump between 1200-1400 is much greater than for example 1000-1200.
