Sillican defence, favourite to play and to play against (is that strange?)

Slightly weird.

I initially played a lot of London games, understand the theory about it but then noticed, I win more when i play Italian games. My white play wasn't bad though, but black was another story although in the past I have played Slav, Caro Kann, and Scandinavian, especially Scandinavian thats great to see on youtube (the opening has nice win ratios), but somehow never fits me right, and i lost quite a lot games with it (my ratios are bad) .
So I needed something else...

While playing italian, i noticed a pattern in the people defending that (and it didnt look bad neither), so i started to investigate it not even aware of the opening name, turned out this was Sillican.

Strangely though and this surprises me a bit,
Now that I play it more frequently (still without theory, or lots of YouTubes).
Somehow I like those boards a bit hard to explain but it feels quite natural.
Never to much locked up a not too complex center, its defendable and also beatable.
I often win against it, and I often win when I play it myself as black.
Isn't that a bit strange ?. (especially since i lack theory about it)
