Thanks TadDude for the link.

So, basically, this person can never timeout. Did I read it correctly?   This person can be on vacation permanently?  We are in a one move per day tournament and it is almost 2 months now and we're on move 17.  It boggles my mind that he would join this tyupe of tourney and then go on vacation for this long! And to find out that he will never time-out!!   And the really sad thing is if this game ever finishes then I get to look forward to our 2nd game (it is a one game at a time tourney).    And I can't join another tournament until this one is finished (I'm basic).

You misread. Vacation runs out since you can only accrue two days per month.

Some players are over-extended and invoke auto-timeout protection often, sometimes daily. You will have to remember to only join tournaments where the tournament director has set a low "Max Avg Time/Move". This tends to keep these types of players out.

Other basic members have reported in the past they could enter another member-created tournament once they had no active games in an ongoing tournament.

As well if you are not having fun, you could offer draws or even resign and move on.

Possibly the oldest ongoing member-created tournament: Started 2008 04 10

No fact-checkers here. It is a tedious job.

The first member-created tournament on the list if current tournaments is Windward Chess & Go Club V - started 2008 03 09

But that's not even the oldest - Possibly the oldest - The Bloody Axe (Vikings vs. Saxons). started 2008 03 04.

Thanks TadDude, I'll record this right away!!!
