Slow motion lag unbearable!

On Lichess till this site improves the slow motion lag. Unplayable!!

Been experiencing lags too, but they only last for a few seconds. Maybe that's cause of my internet connection

whole games for me! checking to see if chrome is faster. slow motion chess is nuts!!

Try internet speed test to see if it js might be your internet or something else

internet speed always good. chrome is good!! safari not working / lag city

Not sure then. is there like a tab or whatever to test your speed like on lichess

or maybe js play on lichess for a while and come back to see if the issue might be fixed

Are you living in the UK? It's way faster on lichess for everyone here because lichess servers are close by in France

ah where are the chess.com servers? USA i suppose. never had a problem with lag before living in france and uk. I don't use chrome much but it works better than safari atm - safari lag just stooopid slow lol but chrome back up to speed.

LOL 2501 at bullet is nuts! Lag is really important for you!!

They have servers in Europe as well but it's not as quick as the lichess ones. It's about 3x slower for me

#11 lol thanks I'm trying to match my lichess rating (2600) but it's slower here + I'm more used to lichess ui so it feels impossible sometimes

im 1226 on lichess and cant keep over 1000 regularly over here (10 mins) think its well known lichess is 200+ higher scores all round? Chess .com works well on Chrome for me on Safari its real slow motion now. been like that for a few days now.

Lichess ratings above 2200 starts evening out with chess.com ratings. Not sure why

I use Firefox which is usually fine

Safari uses a Private Relay feature that likely is causing issues. I believe that's enabled by default and all your traffic routes through that, which can slow things down.

Sometimes I move, and my clock continues going down for 20 seconds.
