I generally play 3 day chess, as when I am busy I sometimes can't find the time to give a move the time and attention needed in a short time. mostly make my move when I

Get the chance vary rarely more than 10 hours. I find most of my opponents do the same. However when I have them 1 or 2 moves from mate some will take much longer to move than throughout the rest of the game. Should I let this bother me and does it bother you?

No and no.

What an odd question!  If you have a choice you should never let anything bother you.  Something that bothers you does so because you can't avoid it doing so unless you just enjoy getting annoyed.  And no, it doesn't bother me in the slightest.  If I'm in a hurry for a game to end I play live chess.  If I play Daily Chess I never care how long it takes.

Why does it bother you??

If I am loosing and have no chance I resign, I would not drag the game out unnecessarily why would I?

So I don't understand when somebody acts that way

Just be patient you’ll win in the end anyway. Some or most people are just not a good sport.

In Daily games when you resign can have a significant impact on your rating, depending if yours and your opponents' ratings are going up or down.

More relevantly though, people are allowed to play until checkmate.  It is the aim of the game, ultimately.  Resigning is just a courtesy shortcut.
