I was an 800 in rapid who had been playing games with 70+ accuracy pretty consistently. I took a month long break, and now I just keep losing. My accuracy is low. Should I keep playing until I get back into a groove, or study extra?

There is no magic formula. It took you a month to fall out of practice. It will probably take you a similar period to recover to where you were.

Don't put too much pressure on yourself to perform at your previous level right away. Ease back into playing games gradually and focus on re-establishing your rhythm.

Yes, the worst thing you can to is keep playing while hoping for a rating increase. Take a break, recollect, do some puzzles, and come back well rested and prepared to play. You will see improvement.
