So close! almost had a mate with Queen Sac.

Two firsts in a game I just played. Got to take with en passant and the dude I was playing who was rated 950 didn't know what the move was and then had a queen sacrifice that would have lead to mate on the next move but the dude spotted it and avoided the trap. Still beat him but the sacrifice was the most satisfying part.

Congratulations on the game. I didnt like some moves and I feel like you should had a killer blow way before.
The queensac was nice, and Im not trying to be mean or anything, but it was quite easy to spot the possibility, and even if it did not mate by force, it was a great way to exchange queens. A great thing when you are up material.

Good stuff, well played. Perhaps 24.Qe6 was a better way to offer the queen, threatening your plan of Re7 and Rfe1 but keeping the queens on and it looks like a quick win without the potentially tricky endgame.
Thanks bp I agree we both had some blunders no doubt but being able to spot that queen sacrifice and play it in a timed game really makes me feel like I'm progressing. I have NEVER spotted an opportunity to make a play like that let alone been able to attempt it before.
