It didn't happen. Unless maybe Morphy actually has been reincarnated, or Fischer faked his own death. Otherwise there is no one here who can beat the Chess.com computer on it's highest level in 8 moves, not even the top GM's.
Hello all,
I have been playing chess in the "Against the Computer" section under the "Play" tab. Obviously, because the Chess.com computer (like all programs) operates on a syntax, it will usually respond to a certain move the same way each time. This being said, I have found a way to beat the computer on Medium (~1600) difficulty in 28 moves total each time. If the first 4 moves look like this:
Then you are set. (Sometimes, the computer will play 4. Nd4 instead of 4. Nge7 as above. In such a case the moves below will not work.) Follow up with these moves and you will win each time:
I am posting this as a sort of challenge to everyone, both to see what move sequences beat the other difficulties of computer the quickest, and to see if anyone can find a quicker method to checkmate the computer on Medium (~1600) than I posted above (28 moves total). Can we solve the Chess.com computer?
