Hey, just wondering if anyone can help me, I'm in the mid-1350s rating, (hey, isn't that when the Plague raged through Europe?) I'm an tactical player and HATE locked positions. Can anyone venture a guess to the percent of time I should spend playing, analyzing, in tactics, Chess Mentor, etc... Can anybody help?

Ben_Dubuque

spend most of your time doing playing tactics and chess mentor, analyse after that, if you play a tournoment game, then analyse those immediately

Shadowsoftime99

Ok, that sounds familiar...

So:

35% Tactics

35% Chess Mentor

25% Playing

10% Analyzing

5% Misc.

Sounds about right! Thanks!

Ben_Dubuque

No, Play more than anything else, you will learn and have fun doing so, reason is Tactics tainer has no emotional attachment, you blunder a queen there, oh well, you blunder a queen in a game, oh S***

Cystem_Phailure

Hey, all the pro athletes always give 110% . . . Cool

Shadowsoftime99

Sorry, I didn't realize that my percents added up wrong!

I also forgot to include opening and endgame study...

Take 2:

30% Tactics

25% Chess Mentor

25% Playing

5% Analyzing

15% Openings and Endgames

30+25+25+5+15=100%

Don't worry! I'm very good with numbers (usually). Math is my favorite subject!

And I'm guessing that I should analyze my game against attilaturzo once it's done too! Thank goodness for the live analysis board!
