I'm currently playing someone who is playing daily chess every day but is making moves against opponents after at least 4 days out of 7. It's annoying because he offered me the game and I would never accept if I knew it would take literally months. He's dead lost in our game but not resigning either. Very frustrating.

So, you did not know a guy offered you a 7 days per move game for the reason he actually need the said days? It's fascinating.

He's playing chess every day. That's a fact. It's deliberate time wasting.

did you check how many daily games he had? If its 100+ you should cut some slack.

He has 52 and is also playing bullet regularly from the look of it. I just checked and the game started on May 2nd he lost his queen 3 weeks ago. Kind of funny when put into that perspective.

oh yeah honestly I hate those people that have a clearly lost position but just keep playing. In one of my games my 1000-opponent is down an entire queen in a king+pawn endgame.

And he's still playing, like dude really?

Yes when I lose because of such a thing, I usually blame myself, being able to  play on and find counterplay is a key chess skill

How you got so strong? My goal in Daily is 1800, you are already 2000+.

I improved a little my tactical skills in the last years, but I still have to learn a lot. If I would start my chess career again I would focus on tactics and endgame in the first 5 years.

You can't complain, it's not against site rules

Some people playing Daily Chess in a tournament try to play as slow as possible. If they have 3 days to make a move they usually wait until the last hours to play, even in positions where they have a forced move.
I guess they think that they have a bigger chance to win doing so, as some players could die during the tournament or forfeit because they are bored. In a current tournament there is a guy who didn’t finish a single game, and all the other players have to finish only the games against him. Somehow ridiculous.

It can be frustrating at times; however, as already mentioned, if there are three days to move, there are three days to move. Some people do need to take most of that time due to other off-line commitments. When they are in a forced move situation, you can always use the conditional move button. After your move, select it and when the screen opens enter their move and your reply. They may make their next move right away - or wait another three days! It's worth a try.

I have also played games where my opponent moved too quickly and by so doing sometimes made poor choices. (Not that I have ever complained about that, as it helped me greatly!)

So, the moral is, if you join a three day time control, don't be too upset if opponents take the three days. On the other hand, don't make your moves in 3 hours when you have more time to really find a better move. Emanuel Lasker, "When you see a good move, look for a better one."
