It's always been curious to me how some beginners today stick to 3.Bg4 when the basic refutation to this is found in one of the most famous games -- a game that surely many of these players have seen.
So just capture the pawn, play Bc4 and Qb3 and you have a double attack. Pretty simple.
From your final position, it actually takes a few moves to get the knight. Qe7 undoes the pin and defends the knight.
