Sore Loser (and worse)

Guy "offers" draw when it's mate in 1, stalls for 5+ minutes, calls me a cheater (of course) and a nazi. I repeat: NAZI.

for beating him one time. in a really competitive game too.

what the f*ck is wrong with people? I've gotten used to no gg, people leaving instead of resigning and some trash talking, but this is so beyond the pale. is there really not even a tiny minimum of decency we can expect from chess players? like, for example, not calling someone a nazi for being German?

sorry, just had to vent for a moment. already starting to regret coming back here.

There are just people who are like that, you need to get used to it. Do not even care about what they say. I understand that their behaviour is not okay, but the only thing you can do is report and block them. I played a game and the person who I was playing against insulted me because I am Serbian. And we did not even play 3 moves, and he was rude! So, I understand you, but there is no way to avoid those people.

Chess boom destroyed chess culture. Now every peasant makes an account and plays chess according to the behavior of their favorite twitch manchild.

I know that the experience is as frustrating as the wheels of justice are underwhelming. But (assuming you reported them), that player is 100% about to have their account closed (if it hasn't already been done). So at the end of the day, you have a win under your belt and you get to continue pursuing your hobby, while your opponent must retreat back to their friendless existence under the bridge from whence they came. Hopefully you get a degree of satisfaction in that.

Their behavior reflects poorly on them, not on you. Keep playing and enjoying the game—don’t let one bad experience push you away from something you enjoy.

ya i like that attitude keep it up

Report this sad excuse for a human being. You may want to mute the chat too, but that will prevent you from being able to chat with other people who may be nice and normal. Up to you.

Sorry to hear it. I hate that sort of thing (running out 5+ min from Mate in 1, etc. positions). Calling someone a nazi simply because they're German is disgusting, too.

I had an opponent tonight who requested chat and proceeded to engage in constant smack talk. My bad for accepting a chat request, I guess, but I didn't expect it to be used to interfere with the game. I wish whatever level people were at, they would behave decently to each other.
