I had mine nearly a year now a great machine. you tend to forget how you originally logged into chess.com I travel with mine alot always keep it locked when transporting it in original packaging. don't forget to unlock though as I did last night not a good sound caught it quick though.

LOL horrible sound! I haven't traveled with mine but when you lock it do you have to use the screw it comes with when shipping?
Yes follow the instructions in the app for locking it and replace the locking screw once the holes align. Never travel with out the screw replaced in the bottom. Performing the locking prceedure only aligns the holes the screw is what really locks the mechanics inside

I have a luxury set as well similar to this. It is a nice show piece but I never play OTB on it.
Square off chess set is for players that want to play online chess against an opponent on chess.com or square off but want to play on a chess board instead of a screen. That is why it cost extra. I love it. worth every single penny, and if it ever fails i will gladly purchase it again.

I preordered the Limited Edition, which will be dispatched in the nex few days. I hope they don't disappoint!
I wish I had bought two when they had the package deal I go here and there for weeks at a time I may yet buy another.

@Dennis_Petersen, How is it so far? Any issues you've encountered or any limitations?
There is a bit of a learning curve when you get one but I really enjoy using it. I had some user errors in the beginning the grand kingdom is well made an you will love it.
The new update adds a lot of features like returning to game when disconnected. Also remembers all my games from past how? Brilliant. Would like Square-off give us real instructions on App bit it and miss finding out.

New Update?????? I'll have to hurry home today after work and check it out 
I can’t play any games with the new update. This new version will either not connect me to a game at all or drops every game it starts. I want the old version back.

If there are issues with the latest version, is it possible to downgrade? Im getting my LE (black version) today and the firmware installed might be outdated. I still want to update to the latest version but I still want to know if I can downgrade.

haven't used the new version to play, but what an improvement to be able to have a record of previous games.
