It would be funny if it was ~30,000 unique players with 25,000 getting banned for fair play 😂
Staggered by numbers.

The fact of the matter is chess.com does not want to stop the cheating. Or any other restricted behavior for that matter. I would say their programming/development team is just as incompetent as their counterparts at my bank. It's been a couple years back I had to call my Bank's tech support after countless times being locked out of my account because of their ridiculous Authentication policies. They had usernames which were system generated and other than a prefix each customer had a four digit number to identify them. Kids would get on and do logins all day typing in other people's credentials and lock them out of their accounts after three login failures. Subsequently I called to read them the Riot Act, and tell them that they were locking out the wrong individuals. Don't lock the account, lock the Mac address. What a bunch of retards. You don't disallow the login of the username who got the password wrong three times, you disallow the login from the MAC address of the equipment doing said invalid login.
There, see how easy that is. Now it doesn't matter if they want to go buy another account. That computer, router and associated network hardware will no longer login to chess.com because their server won't talk to that Mac address anymore.
What amazes me most is the number of people I find working in positions to oversee Internet Security, who know precisely less than zero about internet security. Many of the same idiots advocate changing passwords periodically because somehow that makes things more secure. Of course those same people don't mention that your password only gets farmed when it's transmitted in the clear when changing your password. Any other time it's sent encrypted. But don't let those little facts get in the way.
If they didn't enjoy closing 60 or 70,000 accounts a month and having many of them pay again, they would put a stop to it. But don't hold your breath.
Why can't everyone just be nice and play fairly? Hard to understand some people.
