Stalemate

 why is this a stalemate. The king couldn't move because of my queen and doesn't that mean checkmate.

If it's your opponent's move, they are not in check, and they have no legal moves, that's a draw by stalemate.

In order to be checkmate, your opponent has to be in check and have no legal moves to get out of check.
