Yeah I guess, but it can be frustrating when you're playing 30 minute games...

Normally they stay on the tab so the game doesn't get abandoned, it's amazing the stubbornness of some people.
The only recourse is to block and report. The worst is in daily games. Currently in a KR v. K in a 14-day daily tournament. I premoved out most of the lines until mate, but it could still take 15 moves or so, or up to 210 days.
I am surprised it's happening often at your level-- I have always experienced people being more sportsmanlike as I have improved and assumed that that trend would continue.

Just had a game where I literally waited 8 minutes and 19 seconds for his last move. He waited until there was only 1 second left on the clock. I still won, but I bet that idiot thought I wouldn’t wait for over 8 minutes. He was trying to get me to leave the game early but I was patient enough to win on time. I reported him for stalling.

Does anyone know how to deal with people who stall during their games? Reporting doesn't really do anything in the moment, and it can get pretty annoying when it's happening often.
