Standalone electronic chessboard, good AI, for $100?

I have a relative who is an intermediate chess player, and for his birthday he wants an electronic chess board that will beat him.  He had one such board but he always won against it.  I know there are sets that can communicate with a chess engine on a PC, but he doesn't want that -- he hates using computers.  He just wants physical pieces he can move, and an electronic opponent that makes opposing moves by indicating them somehow on the board or the board's UI.

Is there such a thing?  And can one find it in the $100-150 range?

Many thanks in advance.

Many thanks!  I've been searching on Google and Amazon, but doh, I didn't realize there was a store right here on this site.  Those look like good options!  I see a $150 Millennium board that plays to a 2200 rating.  I doubt my relative is a 2200.  Thanks for the link!

Glad to help.  You might want to check out The House of Staunton (which is I think where chess.com gets their stuff) for maybe lower prices; sometimes there are discounts if you sign up for their email, etc.
