stimulants to enhance game performance

So I have noticed that when I take stimulants, particularly amphetamines, my cognition and ability to critical think increase quite a bit and as a result I play a much more efficient game than when sober. Anyone else have a similar experience?

I got addicted to pain meds a couple years ago after an accident. I played better and had more mental energy when I was taking them. When I finally quit them I lost quite a bit of interest in the game. Took me a year or so to get it back. I realized that it wasn't so much the meds that were helping me play better, it was my state of mind. I was content when I played. The pills gave me a sense of well being, so much so that I could sit and do anything and enjoy it. Things like sit and calculate lines, memorize openings and put in tons of study time. I don't have any experience with stimulants, but maybe you feel more content when you play. That said, isn't Ritalin a stimulant? Maybe your stimulant is doing the same thing as that stuff.

Sir, looking at your grade, you are not stimulated enough. No offence.

But too many trophies dilute their value...

You have played 10 onlines games in 2.5 years.  You played 1 game on the 21st, and before that you played  in 2014.  How have to determined that drugs helped you?

@godspawn2016 I play most of my chess on an app on my phone or with my chess set against friends, family, peers, etc. I really don't find myself on this site very often to get a chess fix, I play plenty elsewhere. I also attend my community chess club meetings but that would just fall under the peers category I indicated earlier.

And not intentionally being mean, I'm just stating; I hate your name godspawn. for one thing all of elementary physics's proofs and theories prove that we were not the product of creationism and for those out there belonging to whichever religion that they have a right to belong to, it's insulting and moronic to assume God has anything to do with chess.
