Stockfish 11...STILL?

Can we get an ETA on when this will be resolved?

Your other thread had this covered.

I searched online and didn't find anyone stating that the Stockfish bug with the latest Chrome versions had been solved.

Yes, Stockfish 11 isn't the latest version, but it's still rated 3400+. It would mop the floor with Magnus Carlsen like he's a beginner.

It's more than capable of helping you analyze your games ...

Not really the point.  If we pay for the best, we should get the best.  Let the freeloaders use 11.

Nowhere in the site premium benefits is engine version mentioned.

Stockfish 11 is being used on some versions of websites because newer versions of Stockfish malfunction when used in the updated browsers.

First, that is a very ignorant and BS answer and you should be ashamed as a Chess.Com mod, do better and help instead of enflame. Second, how would you feel if you brought your Porsche to the shop for a check engine light and they swapped out the engine for a Chevy small block? The point of the post was to get an update since its been nearly two months since the issue started.

Martin tries to give you the best information available.  I understand that you want this engine problem fixed now but as far as we know, the staff is still mostly dealing with the 502 errors/ server capacity issues.  Mods have no special news channel to consult.

At any rate, I think that the server capacity issue is a little more important than the engine. Don't you?

There is no reason to get mad at Martin, who is volunteering lots of his time to help out other users.

I was specifically replying to the paid premium comment and that having the newest engine has never been advertised as a premium membership benefit.

I know that there has been work in getting everything resolved and testing around it, which has happened since I last posted, though I don't know how close to release that is.
