Yeah, never changed to 8 threads

But afterwards, like other phone only around 500k nps (700k max).

Not even close to 2.6M

I found the problem (looking at old phone). I didn't know it was NNUE. I noticed they had different evaluation files. I unchecked NNuE on the older phone and 2M+ immediately.

5.1 Mnps without NNUE in my phone. 2x faster without NNUE.

How fast depends on your phone processors.

I hate to ask such a basic question and don't want to jack the thread, but what GUI are you using to run Stockfish on your Android?

Thanks - works well - I am getting a few UI messages that Droidfish is using a lot of power, taxing up on my 1.8 octa-core processor (and battery) just a bit :-)
