I belong to many gaming sites where they are able to maintain a G rating. There are private forums on some of those sites that are locked and only for adults. I'm not asking for everyone here to be a saint. Perhaps provide a locked site for adults who wish to dabble in political incorrectness. It can be quite funny. I belong to one...and the only rule is...no personal attacks. Profanity and many other things are permitted.
Well, that's all I have to say, except to remind the moderator to please ban turtleslayer from this site for a few weeks and talk some sense into the kid.
Chess.com can be a great place for children who are learning the game, and the perfect place to grow the game with such a simple url as chess.com.
Erik has the patience of a saint. If i owned this site i would be canceling the memberships of those keep saying this site sucks, who are complaining after day1 of the TEMPORARY LIVE CHESS2 (which everyone was notified of in messages from chess.com which a lot of people didn't bother to read). You know what? if you are so dissatisfied, stop complaining & don't use this site. Why are you using this site if you are so unhappy??? If I don't like a product, I sure as heck don't keep coming back for more. Erik, you and the others are doing a great job, and the majority who play here realize this is a great site.
We'll probably find out that turtleslayer is actually Erik. Nothing beats a common enemy for pulling everyone together to stick up for Chess.com

Sure, nobody wants to encourage kids to go around cussin' like a sailor...but at the same time, I hardly think too many kids are gonna be shocked by such outpourings (just listen around you at recess).
You missed my point. I'd like to recommend this site to my elementary students so they can visit what is probably the best chess education web site. His profanity will make that impossible. There are plenty of forums where you can talk as you please. This is a chess site! What he is doing makes no sense in the context of what this site is all about. Where is the moderator?
