If they are challenging you to less than 5 minute games, they can't really cheat, unless they're using a bot. They'd probably only challenge 2200+ in those cases to fain the most points.

Lol, not how points work.....above a certain level it would just be +16 (assuming they have normal RD). I have noticed that the rating gain corresponds to the win probability and so +800 is about 1% chance of winning, and so i mean 800+ and you get 99% of your k-factor, so playing OP or playing a 2200 wouldn't be meaningfully different. To be fair, not everyone may know that.

So what is the maximum number of points that can be gained? Cause I know when you first join the site your rating can fluctuate up to 250 points per game. The same thing happens if you don't play for 90 days.

Yeah, and I haven't verified this, but it seems to hold up to observation.....

Basically, it seems based on the theoretical win probability. As per this https://www.318chess.com/elo.html For example, for 350 point difference, the win rate is about 1/8th, so accordingly, if you play against +350 and win, you get (7/8)*k-factor points (14 points). I have not verified, but from what I've seen, it seems to be the case.

So if you play against +800 you should get like 99% of your k-factor, so I guess that would be like 248 points if 250 is the max.
