puzzle rush survival world record
My record is 60. I just spent an hour or so playing it again. Made it to 59 and then got the next three wrong. Aaaaarrrggghhhhh!!!! ![]()
Joseph's record at survival no longer shown on the all time survival leader board. The puzzle rush leader boards are back to being bugged or skewed in favour of showing only titled players in the top positions!
Turns out it's not a 'bug' after 9+ months of chatting with Support and them saying it was a bug and developers are actively working on it... Or not! Non-titled accounts will show as only '100' no matter how much they got... Kind of sucks, but whatever's the point of moaning because it won't change the outcome.

key word "got"
i mean it's after the update, but considering that the difficulty of puzzle rush runs haven't really changed that much in i assume it's still possible to get well above 100

Yep! I tried Survival again after a break of about 6+ months, and still, after the 75th puzzle, it just repeats, or I'm very familiar with the puzzles after this. However, I don't see how this is our problem? If you spend as much time as I do in puzzle-solving, then I'm not being funny, but how is this our problem? Yeah, yeah, I know that there's always the problem about cheating in this.
nice to see this thread active. first time checking it since authoring it lol. over 1000 is insane and hard to believe someone not using and engine but its true if you do enough, the puzzles become a little redundant. bummer about it not displaying over 100 for untitled players, if that's true. another weird thing is that under the leaderboards, it says my personal best is 39 but when i look to see my friends leaderboards, it says i have 35 only and one friend above me at 39.. i guess either he did it quicker so he holds the 39 slot or maybe his puzzles were higher rated in difficulty? idk

@nurdinitup I totally get what you’re saying. On the face of it, seeing a score over 1,000 in Survival, especially from someone without a title, is going to raise a few eyebrows. That’s just natural.
From my experience, though, most titled players put the vast majority of their time and energy into regular games, classical prep, openings, tournament play, and so on. Puzzles are often just a warm-up or side training tool for them. I’m kind of the opposite. Regular games don’t really grab me anymore, so I’ve poured years into Puzzle Rush and Survival specifically. When you spend that amount of time on one format, patterns stick, themes repeat, and your recall gets sharper and sharper.
If someone treated Survival like their main discipline instead of standard chess, big numbers become a lot more understandable. It’s less about title strength and more about volume, repetition, and pattern recognition in that specific mode.
Sadly, FIDE doesn’t hand out a “Puzzle GM” title… yet 😄
