Hi can anyone answer this please? I moved my pawn from c2 to c4 but then I got taken from their pawn which was on d4 and took my pawn (c4) but ended up on c3?

I just did! I’m not an expert on chess but of course I can play it. It’s the first time I’ve ever seen it or even heard of it. Thanks!

Np! It’s a weird rule and even I forget about it sometimes.

There would probably be that one moment when many good players saw the very first en passant move.

I was once in a similar predicament - what I thought was "checkmate" could actually be stopped by en passant (even though I was still winning the game). Surprisingly, my opponent had not known the en passant!
