I had the same problem. I read chess books and trained at home every day made me from 1400 to 2000. I did not improved by watching lectures. I even never analyzed my own games.
Reading How To Reasess Your Chess and The Amateur's Mind really helped me improve and I'm still yet to finish either. If you haven't read them before you could give them a try.

Thanks looks like a very good read.
All you guys who've read Dvorwtsky's Endgame Manual and had not trouble with it, are you beating a lot of masters in the endgame now?

No, but I didn't read it to beat masters, I read it to learn about the endgame.
If I read it a few more times, and worked and rewored difficult puzzles and analyzed famous endgames, then sure, maybe I could have been crushing masters in the endgame at a 1600 rating. Not just beating, but crushing...
But that's not a practical goal for a 1600. Use it to learn some basics, for example all the blue diagrams, then move on to studying something else. You can always come back to it later.

Did you do anything to motivate yourself more to study?
I just really wanted to improve. If I do it everyday, I will improve; is my motivation. Of course not just doing it, but I really try to figure the correct way for myself at least.
Thanks everyone for your answers!
