surprising difficulty at low ratings

I go through this same problem everyday. It’s literally impossible for me to beat an intermediate Blitz player because some of them are rated 2000 on Rapid.
This is why I prefer to play rapid. Not because I have more time, but my opponents aren’t as insane as those of blitz

I am a Chess hobbyist who has been playing for quite some time. It wasn’t long ago I broke 1600 blitz on here, I’m over 1700 blitz on Lichess, I broke 2000 rapid on Lichess, and lately on here I’ve been playing some of the hardest games I’ve ever played in 5 minute and 2/1 formats. I’ve plummeted over 200 points, and when I look at the game review against 1380 level players, it says they are playing at about a 2000 level sometimes. In 2/1 it’s even worse. 1100 level players are finding answers to every problem I present in the blink of an eye. Does anyone else think this is strange? Has this been your experience? Thanks
