survey: are you an 1.e4 person or a 1.d4 person

I play e4/e5 because it leads to a more relaxed game, which I personally enjoy. Variations I do are Italian, Italian Game: Knight Attack, or Center Game.
Definitely 1.d4. Once or twice a year, I will play 1.e4.
e4 mostly but I play d4 more and more to kill routine.
e4 for me.

I don't know but I definitely wouldn't suggest anyone define themselves as a person by which piece of plastic they move 4" forward in a board game.

I usually play d4 if I am playing the London System and e4 when I am not. If I am playing bullet chess, I always play f3 as it makes the opponent spend extra time thinking of opening moves that I am familiar with.
