These are tactics you MUST know. 1. Deflection which is a tactic in which you deflect a target with check so if they take you win the peice it is guarding. 2. All types of forks Queen, Knight, bishop, Rook, and pawn. 3. Removing the defender which is when you capture a peice that is defending another peice so you make it hanging once you remove it. 4. Pin pins are when you make a peice inactive due to that you will loose material if you move it. 5. Discovered attack, check discovered check is when you have a peice like a queen and you move that peice so it checks the king than you take the peice your attacking, discovered attack is when you move a peice and the peice behind the peice you moved attack a hanging peice or higher value. 6. Windmill which is when you do a series of discovered checks and you are constantly taking other pieces on that file or row. These are some strategies that will also help. 1. Greek gift which is a mate attack on the king. 2. You must control the center in the opening and the middle game. 3. Attack the center with you C and F pawns if they take it is actually a mistake. 4. If you are ahead in material than you trade as much as you can if they accept the trade they are helping you. 5. If you are behind in material do not trade unless you cannot block the peice trying to trade or move away. 6. If there is a hanging peice and you are already attacking it and you can check them do it unless they can block and it is protected and than you take than if they move you can check them again. 7. Doubling pawns are not bad in the middle game or opening it is only good if your going to attack the center with the doubled pawns. 8. Do not start attacking until your king is castled so it is safe. 9. If you want to pawn storm king side castle queen side. 10. Do not move pawns on King side unless it stops mate if you are castled there. 11. Of you are castled start attacking the enemy king by opening the file the king is on. 12.
