Tactics trainer gives out free points

What will happen once they fix TT and everybody has to give back all them free points?

How will the people respond? will they appreciate a correction that reflects their individual ability, or will they demand to keep the inflated system in place?

This might make a great social study, where's the popcorn

I agree. A lot of free points. 

 I dont understand whats the point having a 2000 rating on tactics when your performance indicates that you play 1600 ? 

Who cares about free points in Tactics trainer ? Give the chess.com members a way to study, learn and practice Tactics with method. That will be something...

Save them in " plan ", it's general. Perhaps you mean senctions that reflect players ability. See...someone who reached 1600 or 1700 doesn't mean he need to change themes in tactics trainer. If you look games played from these players on that level, most of are determined from mistakes and blunders in basic tactics.

I stopped solving tactics on chess.com when I realized that the majority of problems I solve does not match with the strength of games I play. Suddenly I found my self trying to understand positions when I had no clue what to look for....and ocassionally some ridiculous easy tactics of two combos. No sense at all...

I felt Chess.com is joking with me.

I byed the CT-Art 4.0 program and I am fine. I feel there is a schedule in what I am doing. A learning process. A method.

For sure your idea and suggestion is much more useful from the current system of tactics. I bet that very soon in couple of years it will become reality for the site but only for premium members. For the time being chess.com does not anticipate the need for methodical work in TT.

Needless to say that this option to work here on separate themes it's a blow. You choose a theme and after the fourth puzzle you are solving mixed tactics again that have no relation with the subject you select. Before couple of months i tried to solve here by theme and it was disappointing. Just for my curiosity, try to solve tactics related with attacks on f7 and tell me how many puzzles are related to the theme.
