Anybody care to explain how is it you lose score when you get a problem right? Secondly when you get it solved in under the average time why is it not 100% every time?

That's the number 1 complaint about the TT and it's been fixed in V3.  It's a sliding scale; you can beat the average time and still be slow compared to someone who recognizes the pattern and solves almost instantly.  V3 is a much better experience all around.

What is V3, and how do I get it??

Version 3 of the site, currently in Beta and available only to diamond members.  Oh wait, you are a diamond member....Down by the green pawn at the bottom of the page; Try the new Chess.com!   When you get over there try the new TT.  Best feature is an unrated mode where you can review all your failures (Well, not all of them; that's what shrinks are for). There's a + sign you need to click to enter custom training.  At first the puzzles look too big, they fill the whole screen, but you get used to it. Enjoy!

Thanks mate, you are a legend!

Not actually true. I'm a platinum member, and I frequently go over to V3. I hope it gets out of Beta soon, though. It's very nice. And as soon as it becomes the "law of the land," I'll stop coming back to this version out of habit.

Oh. My bad.  Do you know if golds have access as well?
