Chess.com's tactics trainer works great on the iPad. There are also several apps that I've found useful. Here's a review that I wrote a few years ago: http://chessskill.blogspot.com/2013/02/chess-tactics-training-on-ipad.html
The review looks at Chessimo, Tactic Trainer, Chess Quest, Shredder, and Chess-Wise Pro. Readers have offered additional suggestions in the comments. The first three remain the best IMO. The Tactic Trainer app is distinct from Chess.com's Tactics Trainer.
