Taking notes during tournament game

Do the USCF rules allow players to take detailed notes during OTB tournament games? For example, what if I want to write down complex lines and analyze them — while I'm sitting at the board?

No, this is not allowed, all calculation and analysis must be in your head. Even writing down your move on your scoresheet before you play it is considered suspicious, although I don't know the current USCF stance- you can always google the rules.

at least in FIDE it is illegal, I don't know with USCF but I cannot imagine they would allow it because it is a good thing about OTB chess that you have to use your brain to think 100%

12.3 a. During play the players are forbidden to make use of any notes, sources of information or advice, or analyse on another chessboard.

We played and you played white! I lost my connection and lost 1.5 minutes. I came back and played good but time made me slip. You ran after your win. A win you recieved on a blunder based on a bad connection. It just shows that you are a pussy! You couldn't rematch after winning one luck. That my friend makes you a grade a pussy!

It's always nice to see folks making new friends.   That's really what chess should be about, isn't it?

I've always considered myself more of a hand. A hand that can be used for slapping dumbasses such as yourself.

I really wouldn't know the exact rules as of now.
But there were some Mato Jelic videos, where he says that the players made notes on their score sheets, so who knows how was it back then.
