Ah, nice bed-time read. I'm going to dive into your summary and predictions right now. Btw, chess.com is also relaying the moves into the live part of the site. Tomorrow I will be relaying the 4th round onto six boards that can be found in the event list. Great place to watch the games and discuss them!
Tata Steel
Haha I do miss your thoughts about Loek van Wely a bit. I found his game in round 3 very exciting. I thought he had it, but he seemed to come under time pressure and could only get a draw out of it. He is the underdog and Dutch, so I cheer a bit for him :) But, great summary! Looking forward to see if your predictions will stand the test of tata, eh time!
I am cheering for all the dutch players, but they have a tough road against them. Giri has playing well so even to get a position such as he had impressed me
Yeah I agree. Hard for me to comment upon their chess, because well, that would be out of place for me. But the playing field is strong. Numbers 2 and 3 from the world are there, I don't see a fellow Dutchie winning this. But I hope they will take some points home. Then again, I don't really have a favorite. I play pieces, not the opponent and that is also how I look at other players games.
I mentioned that game under Giri
Oh man, I'm sorry, you actually did mention that game. Been a long day, another indication I need some sleep!
Yeah, have you follwed section B also? Not a single draw last round, really exciting chess
haha no need to apoligize, I did not focus on Van Wely
Neh didn't have time. I did relay rounds 1 and 3 for chess.com and since it's 6 boards for 7 hours straight, I didn't have the time for it. I really would have liked to see Timman play though. He is a god to me :)
