I use daily as a quick refresher
tatics trainer
My wife tries to work on tactics trainer an hour per day. I rarely work on them myself. Maybe because I have spent so many hours over the years with tactics books doing such problems ?
I use ut pretty much every day.But again even though chess.com has 500,000 users how many are active. I am guessing there are around 2-3,000 who play and use the various tools
I like it. I hadn't been playing for a while before I started, my chess.com account. Its knocked some of the rust off and a good excercise to find a good move fast.

i never thought of that, good point.
I work on it when I can, but I only have so much time I can spend on Chess. Most of that ends up getting spent on actually playing games.
Good practice and good for improving your game. I think overdoing it can be detrimental over time. A little every day can vastly improve your game, in my case it has. Some players think that its all about the openings, middle game or endgame. Lets face it there are tactics in no matter what stage of the game and they should be practiced often.
I love it. I think it is the most helpful thing to my game. I have certainly won more games from tactics practice than I have studying openings or endgames.

do you mean its not all about openings, middle game and endgame, after all what,s left. or are you alluding to the mystery which has baffled mankind for thousands of years.
One reason many people don't use tactics trainer/computer workouts, etc is they probably so many games on the go that they just don't have the time. I am getting my game count down to the point where most(or at least half) of my chess time is spent on studying. This means, by and large, declining most of those tempting looking tournament invites

why do so few 500 approx, on a very good day, bother with tactics trainer? its not taken that seriously, is it? why? is it a complete waste of time?
