tyt!
Thank You, from the bottom of my heart...

Your Otd (USCF) ratings seems to quite on par with your rapid ratings, it's like 50 points less but it is still similar; plus during Covid you may not have been able to OTB. Does that mean I am 1350+ ish OTB since my rapid is 1400ish, I know the correlation may only arise as you go up the rating ladder but still.

Great work. Remember a post not tooo long ago that blitz wasn't going so well. Quite the 30 day graph there!

Know you aren't asking me.. but all depends. Lots of factors. I'm 1500's rapid on here and 1068 in OTB chess Lol

Thanks! Yeah, what a quick swing, crazy things can happen when you’re “in the flow”

a lot of people say that online is inflated compared to over the board. I think it depends on the player.
If you’re less experienced, you might be lower OTB only because you don’t have enough games to have an accurate rating. It’s not uncommon for people with 1500-1600 online to get 1000 after their first tournament lol.

@Pulpofeira I thought your maybe not that great at faster times, but your blitz is a bit higher than mine and you played 500ish games, maybe you just need to grind for a while and push through. I got to 1440 HS and dropped to -1350, and a while back to 1200+ from 1400ish. You should be doing better as 1500+ Fide person? Maybe that means I am at least decent/not that noobish in Chess. I was playing the napolean attack when I had 1400+ (scholar mate setup, push the kingside pawns etc, not too great).

To all of my unfortunate opponents who helped me achieve 1900 blitz for the first time...
Happy Valentine's Day!
lol
Ironically I was exactly 1905 rated on chess.com rapid before my session...and dropped down to 1859 or so. Probably should have quit the session there, but I continued and actually got back into the 1880s, but yeah I'm stopping for now because I can tell I'm tired and my chess is suffering. Perhaps I'll get back over 1900 again soon xD

Congrats. I'm right behind you and closing in.
I reached 1700 for the first time! The guy challenged me to a rematch so that only lasted for a few minutes. lol! But still, a sign our club is improving. I was in Waco today. Not a good day for driving with all the ice. Take care everybody. Remember that a single candle burning in a vented car can keep you alive overnight.

That is some crazy improvement! Do you think all the new players joining after the queens gambit is a factor?

Certainly not that much of a factor!
Yes but the whole point of a factor is that it contributes not that it is the cause... but I agree with your premise there much be other larger factors such as increase in skill.
