Don't be so stingy just get a membership and quit complaining pal. When you waste bandwidth with this topic it only makes the situation worse.

Yes pay the membership and u wont have that issue mate. Remember the reason why the adds are there is because it costs a lot to run this site and improve all the features. So Erik has to get adds, unless all the members that come here decide to pay memberships so as to save him needing it. Other wise u have to take the good with the bad I'm afraid.

It's the price we pay one way or the other for all these great features.
Suprises me someone would actually complain about ads on a site that gives so much for free. Two solutions: Buy a very reasonably-priced membership, or deal with the ads.
The person who wrote this really as no idea of what is a site really filled with ads

before calling people names and being rude you should take more care yourself as to what people are actually writting and meaning.
I don't have a memebership and I'm perfectly happy dealing with ads as a consequence. This an excellent site, and ads are needed to run it and it's server/resources in this day and age.
Remember, Chess.com don't control the ads 100%, most are done by Google. Any offensive ones are blocked asap. Quit complaining. Jeez.
I barely even notice them. Some forum sites I visit give you a full page ad every time you click something, which you then have to click a button at the bottom of the screen to move past.
Am using a pop-up blocker
I mean, if you're not smart enough to avoid clicking a popup, you just might have to deal with closing a screen or two every time you come to this site.

It cost chess.com money for you to make this post. They work hard to keep this site running and deserve to be paid for it. If you don't like being annoyed into doing something then leave the site. You choose to come here to play and you choose to be annoyed by the adds.
I have almost accidently clicked on these annoying pop up adds more than once. Ads are annoying enough, but these ones jump out onto your screen trying to trick you into clicking on them. "Well why don't you just get a premium membership?". Well, I don't like being annoyed into doing something.
One vote for no more adds that jump out onto your screen.
