The Biggest Secret to Gaining Rating

Don't play when distracted, drunk, tired, tilted or frustrated as mental impairment will cost you games through bad play. Says someone who played over 100 rapid games in 7 days and lost 96 Elo points in a day when not going to sleep trying to get rating points back after losing. Do sleep well, exercise and eat right, do some tactics practice before playing.

no arenas are literally hell for rating stay as far away from them as you can

I agree every time I play in a arena I either play a GM or a 700 in which I lose both games

There was a super confidential study done by 150 professors at the University of London from July 4th, 2018 - July 3rd, 2021.

The study analyzed 1 major group: chess players

They analyzed the players over a period of 3 years, and the results were shocking.

The study concluded that players that played well played better than players who didn't.

I hope the results of this study will motivate players to play to their upmost potential. happy.png
